About the Project
AltaVoz designed and developed the site for San Antonio Port in Chile. This port transports the most cargo in the country, receiving over 1.000 ships yearly. "Those ships make an arrival announcement through the website. People want to know the order of preference in which the ships with the cargo they want will enter the port, so this is permanently visited on the website", explains Carlos Mondaca, Public Relations Manager at San Antonio Port. "It's very important to us, so the website can't be down".
AltaVoz proposed a clean and clear design, that showcases the most important information about the port and allows access to services. Users can also see photos of the ships that are currently at the port. Educational and information "mini-sites" about San Antonio were included in the project, seeking to bring the port closer to the community.
The website was implemented using Prontus, a CMS that is easy to use and secure. A team at the port manages the content directly. "This is a state-owned company, so there are some events that have to be published on the website. There are transparency laws and information that has to be available, also for people who want to reach out to us to ask something, which also makes the website relevant", says Mr. Mondaca.
