About the Project
TV Turf is an online TV channel that covers the Chilean turf, broadcasting live horse races, commentary shows, interviews, and news. It's a channel for fans, that uses Janus' platform to offer unique features for their users. Using the mobile app or the web player, users can pause and rewind a live race, zoom in on the video, view it in slow motion, and get notifications and alerts about upcoming races and other shows.
"The people who have the application and are in the equestrian world only have good words for our project, and that is because of AltaVoz's technical development, plus all the content work we do. All the technical part has been up to par," says Roberto San Miguel, Business Manager at TV Turf.
TV Turf has a website, but the primary user interaction is through its mobile application, available for iOS and Android, which was developed by AltaVoz using the Janus platform.
Janus allows the creation of a continuous stream combining live programs and recorded content on a programming grid. Administrators can send their streaming signal to different platforms, such as YouTube or Facebook, in addition to transmitting it to the mobile application and a special web player for their website. From the same administration platform, they can also send notifications to users to alert them about new content.
